On FoxWiki, there is an entry about SYS(2050) which apparently creates some sort of log file. The function does not appear in the VFP Help file - anyone know anything more about it? One of the testers here recently discovered a bit of code that when broken down did this: ?(Date() + INT(1 / 0) ) > Date(9999,12,31) It returns true. However, put that actual value in printed form and it displays as " / / " Just something for the oddities in your VFP collection. Tracy

Thanks guys for the input. I had assumed there might be a function to figure out which code will run the same way Foxpro does. The problem with sys(16) is how to get it into the code when I don't know where it is. I concluded that I should try to give the routine something to do that will make it blow up and hopefully give away its location but before I tried that everything appeared to return to normal. (the debug stuff in the edited code started working.) The Visa import routine is included in the project along with others like Discover and Checking. An Import control table stores the routine names along with appropriate parameters. The routines are called as my code scans the table and call the appropriate routines. When I renamed the routine I changed the name in the control table but did not add the new routine to the project. The compiler never noticed that a new routine will be called and does not complain or auto add the new routine. This behavior is expected. As far as I know this approach has nothing to do with the behavior I experienced but it may be that others may see a connection I don't. Finding which code is executing

I have a small procedure file, visa.prg. in my current project folder that imports data from .csv files. I need to support a slightly different format so I added some debugging code but it does not run. When I made a copy with a different name it worked as expected. Is there a way to have the system tell me the location of the running code? External Drive Encryption Software

I am doing some work with a local children's charity. They have an administrator who keeps all of the correspondence and reports, etc on her computer. When she goes on holiday a deputy takes over but doesn't have access to all of the data. I have offered a redundant external HDD that they could keep all of the data on and just transfer the drive to the deputy. Because the data is confidential the HDD will need to be encrypted. The solutions I have looked at so far seem to require software to be installed on the computer and I am not certain that the drive could be passed between two PCs. Ideally there would be some form of encryption with the software on the external drive. Can anyone suggest a suitable program? It would need to be cheap (free?) as, like all small charities, they don't have much money. Unfortunately BitLocker won't work as their OS are the Home version. Dropdown Combobox not selecting behavior

Had a customer call in the other day and complain about this. Selecting something new in the dropdown doesn't always select the item clicked on. If you move to the selection and your mouse moves off the dropdown area when you let go of the mouse button, your click will not select the item. If you move to the selection and your mouse is still over the dropdown area when you let go of the mouse button, your click will successfully select the item. So, we let our customers know they need to stay within the lines, as they learned when they were coloring. Have a good one, Tracy
