Google API for Geocoding ... Again

Fellow Gentlemen, I posted a request about doing geocoding requests to receive back a Lat/Long dataset for various addresses a few weeks ago and now find that Google do in fact provide a Geocoding service: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/geocoding/start The responses back from the requests are all JSON from a Java Script API run by Google. I have looked over Rick's Westwind site to try and get a start on using this method to get back a JSON response but seem to be getting nowhere fast. Anyone got any ideas on a simple & neat way of retrieving this data back using VFP programmatically? Either that or anyone know a free Geocoding site that would handle up to 100 name and address calls per day ideally by sending a text file and receiving one back which could be automated from the VFP end. Never even looked at Web services in anger before so it all seems a little baffling and terribly long winded at the moment unless I am missing something obvious. Note I don't want to have to drop into an intermediate program/language to accomplish this, if possible. Dave

I've enjoyed using LMI Pro for years. VERY convenient. I'll probably still pay it, but wanted to poll the community here to see if anyone is using something else and loving that as much or better than LMI. I do NOT want to go down the VNC/UltraVNC/etc-VNC variants that aren't as user-friendly as LMI. tia! --Mike

Using a common class from another EXE/DLL

I want to create a "black box" of sorts with a class I've written. There is no visible UI to it; it's just connection/validation stuff. I want to use it across multiple projects. Do you suggest it be a DLL or EXE? I do not want this code reverse-engineered so I don't want to distribute the VCX nor make an .APP (as you can view code in the .APP). I want to be able to instantiate an object of this class and use it to validate some things like login and license validation. tia, --Mike

Index on collector tag collector unique

Strange behavior I've never seen before I have a 3 character field called collector. I have many records with collector= '31' . When I index using the command "Index on collector tag collector unique" I get every one except collector 31. I get collector 3, I get collector 30, but I don't get collector 31. [NF] Qarbon Viewletbuilder, TechSmith Camtasia, others? ...for presentation demos

Years ago, I used Qarbon ViewletBuilder to create training videos for my software. It's time for me to again do so, but I no longer have Qarbon's ViewletBuilder, so I'm asking what other folks would recommend. I will say that Qarbon's product was pretty easy to use. Alan, Bill, Richard, et. al., Ok, I have attached a screen shot. This should make it clear where I am having the problem. All the ideas you mentioned work quite well for changing what they are supposed to change - but none of those have any effect on the fonts that are showing incorrectly. VFP9 runtimes windows 10;

Hi guys One of my customers has an issue. First a user has my VFP9 program with the program in program files 86 and the runtimes in common files. All works fine. New user added and this user gets a problem with resource files not found. I assume these are the ones in common files plus the c++ dll. Anyone know why one user works and the other fails? TIA Al
