Google API for Geocoding ... Again

Fellow Gentlemen, I posted a request about doing geocoding requests to receive back a Lat/Long dataset for various addresses a few weeks ago and now find that Google do in fact provide a Geocoding service: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/geocoding/start The responses back from the requests are all JSON from a Java Script API run by Google. I have looked over Rick's Westwind site to try and get a start on using this method to get back a JSON response but seem to be getting nowhere fast. Anyone got any ideas on a simple & neat way of retrieving this data back using VFP programmatically? Either that or anyone know a free Geocoding site that would handle up to 100 name and address calls per day ideally by sending a text file and receiving one back which could be automated from the VFP end. Never even looked at Web services in anger before so it all seems a little baffling and terribly long winded at the moment unless I am missing something obvious. Note I don't want to have to drop into an intermediate program/language to accomplish this, if possible. Dave

M$ OCX Date Picker Problem!

Hello there ProFoxers! 1st of all - Happy TGIF! I'm trying to find out who else may have this particular problem. Here's the URL to an image of the Date Picker being used within a system here at my job: http://imgur.com/a/ZlGZu Initially - the problem with the Date Picker caused the system to Crash. Why you might ask? Because the system was trying to set a default date for the Date picker. This was the specific error that was being thrown: "Ole IDispatch exception code 0 from DTPicker: A date was specified that does not fall within the MinDate and MaxDate properties..." At first I wasn't sure what was causing the problem. Turns out - I went to another screen that had the Date Picker running on it - which is the above screen. When I went into that screen - the dates were set to 9/1 - 9/30/16. This is because this report is generally run on the 1st of the month for the prior month. So - upon trying to set the dates to Oct month range - then the problem is apparent. Notice the grey circle around the 25th of the month - although you probably can't see it in this screen shot. But, the picker no longer allows you to pick ANY Date Beyond the 25th of October! And, trying to set the default date to end of Oct. during the startup of another report screen - That is what caused it to Crash. Needless to say - this is an OCX from M$ - and its fairly standard. So - I figured others may be using it in their systems - which are May NOT be FoxPro systems. If so - you will ALSO have the problem. So - I'm curious - has anyone else here experienced the problem? Hate to pull this TOO Far off topic. But, since SQLite was brought up. Wasn't it mentioned here that it was used as the data for Mozilla Thunderbird - the e-mail reader? I'm still having a problem in Thunderbird - but only on my laptop - where NO Emails show up in the Sent folder. I even did some research on Google - but, could not seem to find a real answer to my problem. [NF] Save Video from cable TV

Hey - -- Because of my famous dog (https://www.instagram.com/caninehappyhour/) I need to be able to: -- record live (cable) TV, and -- gain access to the files in order to edit them. We aren't big TV folks, and we have never had a DVR. I'd be willing to buy an inexpensive one, but shopping and Googling confuses the heck out of me. Weird object parameter passing problem...

Gentlemen, I have a weird problem that I have solved but not using the way I wanted it to work: 1. Container which has textboxes, comboboxes in it the whole container being a class. No controlsources bound to the class at designtime. Container has a property added to it called oData with an assign method. 2. Form holding the class has a private datasession with a grid on the form containing the data record by record which needs to be displayed in the container. 3. In the grid rowcolchange method the data from the current record is scattered directly to a form property object oData which is immediately assigned to the oData Property in the container - so there is one form data object that the container can see through the oData property of its own. 4. In the container, the assign method of oData binds the various field "controlSource" in the object to the properties of the container oData. Example: This.txtId.controlsource = "This.odata.id" 5. When run ... and debugged line by line into the assign method of oData in the container, VFP complains that oData (the container oData not the form oData) cannot be found despite the fact that if you specify it in the watch list it can be seen perfectly and the program continues without problem or further errors if the error is ignored. The same error occurs regardless of debug being used. I have found a way around the problem by not doing the double assign i.e. the scatter into the form property oData and then simply binding the controls in the container in the assign statement to <<control>>.Controlsource="Thisform.oData.<<property>>". Although it works I really want to make the assignments non specific so I can pass an object reference from anywhere but at least it solves the problem short term. Anyone any ideas? Problem with VFP IDE (VFP9SP2, fully patched)

This just started yesterday. I can Copy objects on a form, but it won't let me paste them. In fact, the paste option is disabled when I right-click to do so. So bizarre. Copy/paste works outside VFP. I've applied Windows Updates recently. That's the only change in the system, afaik. Anybody ever seen this before?
