RE: VFP 9.00.0000.5815 and a bad PATH environment variable

Hello everyone, I've tracked this down a little further. Using the SysInternals Process Monitor program, VFP is looking for the FOXUSER.DBF. In the process, it looks in the current folder, then every folder in the PATH. There bad path does not appear in the captured data. Having a valid FOXUSER.DBF in the program folder prevents the error from happening. This still occurs even though the compiled in config.fpw file contains the line: resource=off I am now testing with 09.00.0000.7423 This wasn't a problem with an exe built using 09.00.0000.3504, until I modified the exes internal manifest. Spinner Control Anomaly

I've been struggling with a bug and it came down to a spinner control. I've gleaned a lot from this community and thought I'd pass my solution along for comments/suggestions. I am using a spinner control with the control source gnYear. Clicking on the up/down spinner arrows changes the value of what the spinner displays, but does not change the value of the control source. I verify this by displaying the control source gnYear in a wait window from the spinner's interactive change method. While the spinner control is still active, selecting a menu option to call a function that uses gnYear does not produce the desired results since gnYear remains at its initial value. For example, gnYear is 2016 when the form loads. I change the spinner value to 2014. I immediately select a menu option to call a function that uses gnYear, but gnYear is still 2016, not 2014 as I would expect it to be. The value of gnYear is set to the correct value only when focus is set to another object. VFP EXE being blocked by Norton

My yahoo account sends it but zipped up exe gets deleted by Norton, even if i change extension to txt. So I tried gmail. Gmail would not even let me attach it. So i am trying my erw.com email. It allowed me to send it but do not yet know if Norton will let it install. My backup plan is to put the develompent folder on my client's server and just send changed source. Then compiling it. Disappearing Debug Window

Gentlemen, Suddenly my VFP debug window seems to have disappeared for no apparent reason. I can load an "administrator" version of VFP and can open the Debugger no problem but can't seem to find the window in the standard running of VFP. I can't even see the window if I issue "activate window debug" which is strange indeed.... As of today, I've got 1 machine (which I backup frequently for disaster recovery reasons). I should probably buy a 2nd machine, and I'm guessing that would have Win10 by default (fresh from the start; not an upgrade) and then I could have both Win7 and Win10 in which to test things, but perhaps I should just let Windows upgrade itself to Win10 since it's free? Decisions, decisions....what would you do? I'm guessing "just buy the 2nd machine for a better long-term plan" (due to hardware life expectancy). tia, --Mike

I have FoxyPreviewer.app v299z30 and want to tinker with it. However, the toolbar in the project in Source looks nothing like the toolbar displayed in the app. Any ideas anyone?
